I barely can forget that day when I compromise comfort over fashion! I swear I will not do it again! I was with our Account executive then when we were scorching over Makati to look for possible clients for our Advertising agency. I thought we have our company service to bring us to our destination, but unluckily, the AE told me that the service was used by our boss. I thought everything will turn-out okay but it turned-out so tragic! I was wearing my black three-inch platform pumps, my jodphur pants, and my black top, when I needed to ride a jeep, lrt, and walk under the sun. We walked from the 7th street of new manila(since tricycles were not present at those times) up to the gilmore LRT station, I stood- up for 10 minutes inside the train til we arrived at Recto station, walk again up to LRT 1 station, stood-up again inside the train til we reached the Buendia station, we walked again and look for a taxi, imagine how drastic it was? Lots of walking, standing, under the sun? While I was wearing my sky-high-torturing pumps?!Plus my make-up melting down to my face?! WHOA!
I only had the chance to sit down when we got inside the taxi and when we arrived at the client’s office! I was so tired, so smelly, so dirty, and most especially, my feet are uber aching. I got three blisters on each foot, plus my knees were aching too! I ended the day walking again with my pumps going to a mall to buy my slippers so I can comfortably go home! I learned my lesson now, COMFORT SHOULDN’T BE COMPRISED!AS IN NEVER! =D
I will never compromise my belief&principles about what is RIGHT just to be accepted by people. I remember wayback in highschool, I was one of the student council officer. I caught some of my classmates violating some rules. I talked to them first trying my best to stop them but they didn’t listen. They even asked me to join with them. But I was firm with what I believe was true. So even if they would hate me forever, I did what is right. I exposed their malicious acts and let them face the consequences.
I’ve made a lot of compromises on things whenever i go shopping. But here’s my motto: I can compromise on the things I WANT but will never compromise on the things I NEED.
I will never compromise my PERSONAL SPACE. I think everyone needs their little bit of personal space to do what makes them happy. I want to always be able to go read a book or have lunch with a girlfriend or even just take a nap. I want to do these things without feeling guilty. I also want to make sure that I can give that personal space without being clingy or needy.
